Happy Valentine's Day!  Since I am home on a snow day and my hubby is spoiling me rotten, I wanted to share some love!  This product is free today and for those who already purchased my Interactive Writing Bundles!

It includes:
7-Page Student Reference Booklet
1 Writing Checklist for each writing type
10 Graphic Organizers
1 Narrative Elements Slide
7 Weekly Homework or Classwork Assignments (1 blank prompt)
1 Opinion Elements Slide
7 Weekly Homework or Classwork Assignments (1 blank prompt)
1 Informative Elements Slide
7 Weekly Homework or Classwork Assignments (1 blank prompt)
5 Different styles of final copy paper
3 Rubrics-  1 for each style of writing.

If you have already purchased my writing bundle, go back to your purchases and download it again.  I have updated all the bundles to include this product.  It is free for you!  If you are looking for assignments to give the students that they can complete independently after you have taught writing lessons, this is the right product for you!  It not only includes the assignments, but also everything I allow my students to use to get to the final copy.  (Graphic Organizers, References, Checklist, and Final Copy Paper)  I’ve also included rubrics for you to grade their work.

How do I use it?

After I teach all of my writing lessons to be able to complete a 5-paragraph essay, I start giving students weekly writing assignments.  When I first introduce the prompt, we discuss the type of writing and highlight the correct initial throughout the printable.  Everything mentioned in the details on the student printable is also in the reference source.  If you haven’t purchased the large writing bundle specifically made for your grade level, you may want to review the student reference sheets to understand some of the acronyms DARE, CUPS, and CLIPS.  I usually quickly meet with my students each day to make sure they are on track for each writing step.  I take advantage of this time to jot down any areas they need help.
