Mother's Day and My Mom

Happy Early Mother's Day to all the moms out there!  This is what we will be working on in our class this week.  I created a booklet for my students to make.  I wanted to send home a keepsake that will make their moms laugh and cry!  It has a flower theme with quotes for the students to interpret.

Included are two size options: whole pages and half pages for a 10 page booklet:
Pages 1-5 :Quotes about Mothers that students need to write, draw, or color information related to the quote. EX. All I am, or hope to be I owe to my angel mother- Abraham Lincoln
Page 6: A page of why the students pick their mothers. Page 7: A fill-in-the-blank poem Page 8: A page of I love you, I love you not where they list Mom's favorite things. Page 9: A fill-in-the-blank- Do you know how my mom helps me grow?Page 10: And a blossoming hug for Mom.
There are a total of 10 pages in the booklet not including the cover which I print off on card stock. I included one color and one black and white cover. I add a blank card stock on the back of the booklet. There is also a directions page that I put on my smart board as I explain how to do each page.
I added a flower pot design and directions on how to make it. I am going to add some fake grass and student made flowers to the pots too. Cute cute cute!

I have to include a picture of my mom since we are talking about moms!  This is a picture of my mom (on the right) and my godmother (on the left).  It was taken a few years back when my godmother was still with us.  Beautiful women!
